Dhaka: Biman Bangladesh Airlines on Sunday announced that the cancelled Dhaka-Madinah and Dhaka-Jeddah flights will now depart Hazrat Shahjalal Airport at approximately 4 pm and 7 pm respectively on Sunday. This rescheduling comes as part of efforts to accommodate passengers affected by the previous cancellations.

According to United News of Bangladesh, the national carrier revealed that the flights were initially cancelled on February 28 due to airspace closures by several Middle Eastern countries. These closures were a response to regional security concerns following US-Israeli strikes on Iran. As a result, flights to various Middle Eastern destinations, including Jeddah and Madinah, were disrupted.

Passengers have been advised by the airline to arrive at the airport with sufficient time to complete all necessary formalities before their departure. This advisory aims to ensure a smooth boarding process in light of the revised schedule.
