Rangpur: The Department of Public Administration at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur (BRUR) organized a ‘Ramadan Cultural Fest and Iftar Mahfil’ at the university’s Independence Memorial Ground. The event saw the presence of BRUR Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md Showkat Ali as the chief guest.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof. Showkat addressed the gathering, highlighting the university’s achievements in research and emphasized the importance of maintaining this excellence through collective efforts. He encouraged students to engage in constructive activities and to disregard unfounded rumors or propaganda on social media platforms.
The event also included special prayers led by BRUR Central Mosque Khatib Dr. Rakib Uddin Ahmed, focusing on the welfare of both the university and the nation. Attendees included BRUR Acting Registrar and Proctor Prof. Dr. Md Ferdous Rahman, Public Administration Department’s faculty members such as Assistant Professors Md Niaz Makhdum and Md Saiful Islam, and Lecturer Md Afzal Hossain Shakil.
