Shailkupa: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md. Asaduzzaman today affirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to legally prosecute fascists. He addressed the media after a civic reception held at the Shailakupa Degree College ground, where he was queried about the government’s stance and actions.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was attended by a diverse group of representatives from political, social, voluntary, and professional organizations, along with residents from Shailkupa and Jhenaidah sadar. During his speech, Asaduzzaman emphasized that the law would be enforced strictly, especially against those attempting to create unrest. He assured that any involvement in fertilizer black marketing in the area would not be tolerated and promised stern actions against offenders.
Addressing the media, the minister reiterated the government’s dedication to ensuring the prosecution of fascists through lawful means. He highlighted Bangladesh’s progress on the path of democracy following the ousting of fascist forces. Asaduzzaman also stressed the importance of proper allocation and utilization of government funds, warning of both departmental and legal actions against corruption. He reaffirmed the government’s zero-tolerance policy against drug abuse.
The minister instructed law enforcement agencies to act impartially against terrorism, social unrest, and violence, emphasizing that the actions of a few should not damage the government’s image. He also expressed his commitment to advancing development in his home district of Jhenaidah, ensuring it receives the attention it deserves.
When questioned about the issue of bail, Asaduzzaman stated that it is a judicial matter, asserting that no criminal would be left unpunished.
