Dhaka: Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) has signed a corporate agreement with Minerva Hospital Ltd. to provide healthcare facilities to its members and their families. The agreement was signed at the DRU office today, marking a significant step towards enhancing healthcare access for DRU members.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the agreement was formalized with the presence of key representatives from both parties. Minerva Hospital was represented by Managing Director Dr. Naznin Sultana, CEO Md Abdul Kader, and AGM Md Ahsan Habib Rinku. On the DRU side, General Secretary Mainul Hasan Sohel, Welfare Secretary Rafiq Mridha, and Administrative Officer Md Solayman Hossain signed the agreement.
The event also saw the attendance of DRU President Abu Saleh Akon, Organising Secretary M M Jasim, and Executive Member Suman Chowdhury, among others. The agreement outlines that DRU members and their families will receive healthcare services at concessional rates. These services include a 50 percent discount on all pathology tests, a 30 percent discount on radiological and imaging tests, emergency consultations for a nominal fee of Tk 50, and a 6 percent discount on all Bangladeshi medicines.
DRU's collaboration with Minerva Hospital adds to its existing network of healthcare partnerships. The organization already has agreements with several other hospitals, including Ibn Sina Hospital, Insaf Barakah Hospital, AMZ Hospital, Mirpur BIRDEM Hospital, and Aurora Hospital, which collectively aim to provide comprehensive healthcare options to its members.
