Dhaka: Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroza Khanam Rita on Sunday emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring a smooth and harassment-free Hajj experience for pilgrims. Speaking at a meeting on the progress of Hajj management held at the conference room of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, she highlighted the moral responsibility of state servants to facilitate a seamless Hajj journey for all pilgrims.
According to United News of Bangladesh, State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat stated that the authorities would assess whether the right officials are assigned to suitable responsibilities. This evaluation aims to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Hajj management. Both the minister and the state minister expressed their intentions to visit Hajj camps to observe the overall situation on the ground, ensuring that all necessary arrangements are in place.
The meeting further delved into the possibility of increasing the frequency of Hajj flights, aiming to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims. This step is seen as crucial to preventing any logistical bottlenecks that could impede the pilgrims' journey. Among the attendees were Secretary of the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism Nasrin Jahan and Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Md Kamal Uddin, along with other senior officials, underscoring the importance and high-level attention given to the matter.
