14 Fresh Dengue Cases Detected Overnight in Bangladesh

Dhaka: Health officials today said they recorded 14 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in the past 24 hours. “We recorded 14 fresh cases of dengue onslaughts in 24 hours ending at 8 am today,” a spokesman of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a statement from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) detailed that out of the 14 fresh cases, nine were hospitalised in Barishal division, four in Khulna division, and one in Rajshahi. Since the start of the dengue onslaughts this year, Bangladesh has reported four deaths and 1,361 cases.

In comparison, dengue last year claimed 413 lives and affected 102,861 people in the country. Additionally, the dengue situation in 2024 resulted in 575 deaths and impacted 101,214 people.
