Dhaka: BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will visit the residences of Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman and NCP Convener Nahid Islam this evening. Tarique Rahman will first visit the residence of the Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer at 7:00 pm and Nahid Islam’s residence at 8:00 pm, as stated by BNP Chairman’s press wing member Shamsuddin Dider to BSS here on Saturday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the visits are intended as post-election courtesy calls following the 13th national parliamentary election held on Thursday. These visits aim to foster unity among political forces and ensure a smooth post-election period.
Earlier, during a press conference at a city hotel yesterday, Tarique Rahman called upon all political forces to remain united for building a democratic Bangladesh. He emphasized the importance of vigilance to prevent misunderstandings from escalating into revenge or political vengeance.
