Brahmanbaria: A polling officer died while performing his duties in Brahmanbaria-2 constituency on Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Md. Mujahidul Islam, 50, a teacher at the Islamic Foundation in Panishwar Union of Sarail upazila.
According to United News of Bangladesh, he fell sick around 8 am at the district council auditorium in Sarail Sadar while on duty, said Sarail Upazila Election Officer Mahbubul Haque. He was rushed to Sarail Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared him dead.
