Dhaka: About 8 lakh officials will be engaged in election duty in the 13th national parliamentary elections and referendum set to be held tomorrow.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, there will be a total of 69 returning officers and 598 assistant returning officers on duty during the polls.
Voting is scheduled to occur at 42,779 polling centres across the nation. Among the officials involved in the election, there will be 42,779 presiding officers, 2,47,482 assistant presiding officers, and 4,94,964 polling officers.
In total, 7,85,225 officials will be deployed to ensure smooth conduct of the election process.
