Dhaka: The government has inaugurated a control room to facilitate coordination with field-level administration and address complaints efficiently to ensure the smooth conduct of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election and referendum. The initiative was detailed in an office order issued by the Ministry of Public Administration.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the control room will be operational from Room No. 1802 of Building No. 1 at the ministry. It is tasked with verifying election-related complaints and information received from the field and taking the necessary actions. A hotline number (+8802226641118) has been established to streamline communication with the control room.

The ministry has specified that officials will work in two shifts daily, from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm, until February 14. Each day, a joint secretary will be designated as the coordinator to oversee overall activities. In each shift, administrative officers and office assistants will function under the supervision of a deputy secretary or senior assistant secretary.

The office order also indicated that officials assigned to the control room are to maintain continuous communication with the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Election Commission, and the concerned Returning Officers regarding any complaints received from the field level.
