Chattogram: Joint forces in a drive arrested three people and seized a microbus of an independent candidate along with Tk 10.49 lakh at Chandanaish municipality area in Chattogram district early Wednesday. The arrestees were identified as Md Enamul Haque, Emran, and the driver of the microbus.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Ilias Khan, Officer-in-Charge of Chandanaish Police Station, stated that a team of police and army members intercepted the microbus owned by the independent candidate of Chattogram-14, Advocate Mizanul Haque, at Abdul Bari Haat. The interception led to the discovery and seizure of Tk 10.49 lakh from the vehicle around 12 am.
Following the discovery of the money, the joint forces proceeded to arrest the three individuals in connection with the incident.
