Dhaka: The Election Commission (EC) has instructed returning officers and assistant returning officers to compile and report on voter turnout in four distinct phases throughout the polling day scheduled for tomorrow. This directive aims to ensure a systematic recording of voter engagement across various intervals during the election process.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the EC has issued a formal letter today, detailing the requirement for voter turnout rates to be collected from each constituency at four specific times during the day. These intervals are set at 10:00 am, 12:00 noon, 2:00 pm, and after the conclusion of voting. The data will be gathered from the presiding officers at the polling centers to provide accurate and timely updates.

The Election Commission, along with the Chief Adviser’s Office, will closely monitor these statistics to ensure transparency and efficiency in the electoral process. The phased reporting is intended to provide a clearer picture of voter participation throughout the day, thereby facilitating better electoral oversight and management.
