Rangpur: Simanto Bank PLC distributed winter clothing among more than 300 needy and underprivileged people at a programme held at its Rangpur branch office on Tuesday.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was presided over by Simanto Bank PLC Rangpur Branch Manager Md Nur A Elahi. Principal Officer ANM Saifullah, Senior Officer Md Nur E Alam Siddique, Senior Officer Sohel Rana, and Officer Md Aminul Islam were also present.
Md Nur A Elahi, addressing the programme, stated that the blankets were distributed to ease the suffering of underprivileged people affected by the cold in Rangpur. The recipients included helpless individuals, orphans, daily wage laborers, drivers, night watchmen, vagrants, and street children from different areas of Rangpur city. They expressed their satisfaction upon receiving the new blankets.
