Jamaat Candidate for Sherpur-3 Badol Passes Away

Sherpur: General Secretary of Sherpur District unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and the party-nominated candidate for Sherpur-3 constituency, Nuruzzaman Badol, passed away in the early hours of today.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Sherpur district Jamaat Ameer Maulana Hafizur Rahman confirmed the matter, stating that Badol breathed his last around 3:00 am today at the age of 51. Family sources reported that Badol became critically ill at approximately 10:00 pm on Tuesday due to respiratory complications. He was immediately taken to Shribordi Upazila Health Complex. Doctors there recommended transferring him to Mymensingh Swadesh Hospital for better treatment.



However, while en route to Mymensingh, Badol’s condition worsened. He died around 3:00 am near the bridge area at the entrance of the city. Subsequently, he was taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, where on-duty doctors declared him dead.



Masud, Badol’s brother, has announced that the first Namaz-e-Janaza will be held at Sherpur Poura Eidgah ground, followed by a second Namaz-e-Janaza at Shribordi Upazila College ground.
