Gazipur: The chiefs of the three services – General Waker-Uz-Zaman (Chief of Army Staff), Admiral M Nazmul Hassan (Chief of Naval Staff), and Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan (Chief of Air Staff) – jointly visited Gazipur district in preparation for the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) polls and the Referendum.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during their visit, the service chiefs engaged in discussions with senior military officers, as well as officials from various law enforcement agencies and the civil administration of Gazipur, Narsingdi, and Narayanganj districts. The meeting took place at the conference room of the Bangladesh Rice Research Institute.
The discussions focused on ensuring inter-institutional coordination and overall security management to facilitate a fair, peaceful, and impartial general election, scheduled for February 12. The service chiefs emphasized the importance of performing duties with professionalism, impartiality, discipline, patience, and citizen-friendly behavior.
The meeting was attended by senior military officers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, alongside senior officers from the civil administration and law enforcement agencies.
