Khulna: BNP-nominated candidate for Khulna-6 (Koyra-Paikgacha) constituency, S M Monirul Hasan Bappi, has called on voters to back the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ in the forthcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad election, with promises to modernize Koyra and Paikgacha.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Bappi addressed a substantial election rally at Laskar Alamtala Bazar in Paikgacha Upazila, where he committed to serving as a genuine representative of the people and to diligently working for the constituency’s development if elected. He urged party leaders and activists to maintain unity and engage in a door-to-door campaign to ensure victory for the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’.
Bappi assured that the minority communities in the area have not faced any loss of life or property, asserting that BNP leaders and activists have consistently supported them during challenging times. He emphasized that the BNP has never committed wrongdoings against the Hindu community and appealed to people of all faiths to support the party in the parliamentary election scheduled for February 12.
The meeting was presided over by former Union Parishad chairman Karim Gain and featured several notable attendees including Paikgacha Upazila BNP Convener Dr Abdul Majid, former General Secretary SM Enamul Haque, Member Secretary SM Imdadul Haque, Bar Association President Advocate Abdus Sattar, former Municipal BNP General Secretary Mostafa Moral, former Acting Upazila BNP General Secretary Tushar Kanti Roy, and Upazila Krishak Dal President Mecher Ali Sana as special guests.
