Savar: A young jute trader was shot by assailants in Ashulia of Savar on Monday afternoon. The injured, identified as Azad Hossain, 32, sustained a bullet wound to his leg and is currently undergoing treatment at Enam Medical College Hospital.
According to United News of Bangladesh, the attack occurred around 4:30 pm in the Eastern Housing area of Jamgora, Ashulia. A group of 20 to 25 youths reportedly attacked Azad.
Ashulia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Rubel Howlader stated that police are investigating the incident and efforts are underway to arrest those involved.
