Dhaka: The Bangladesh Election Commission (EC) has urged voters registered through the "Postal Vote BD" mobile application to cast their ballots promptly after receiving them.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the EC emphasized the importance of submitting the yellow envelopes to the nearest post office or letter box within the stipulated time. This measure is crucial to ensure that the votes are counted in the upcoming election.
The EC has made it clear that only those postal ballots that reach the Returning Officer by 4:30 pm on February 12, 2026, will be considered for counting. This deadline is a critical component of the election process and ensures that all votes are accounted for in a fair and timely manner.
