British High Commissioner Engages in Discussions with BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman

Dhaka: British High Commissioner to Bangladesh Sarah Cooke today met with BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman at his office in the capital. The meeting took place at 5:55pm at the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairman’s Political Office located in the city’s Gulshan area, as confirmed by Shayrul Kabir Khan, a member of the BNP Media Cell.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the meeting was attended by BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Standing Committee Member Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, and Joint Secretary General (International Affairs) and BNP Chairman’s Foreign Affairs Advisory Council Member Humayun Kabir. The discussions during the meeting have not been disclosed publicly, but the presence of senior BNP members indicates the significance of the talks.
