Rajshahi: A total of 2,72,626 students are preparing to appear in the admission test for first year honours courses in the 2025-26 academic year at Rajshahi University (RU) starting from tomorrow (Friday).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, these students will compete for 4,017 available seats, with an average of 67 students vying for each seat. This information was disclosed by the RU authority during a press conference at its senate Bhaban. The press conference was addressed by Pro-vice-chancellor Prof Mayeen Uddin, who elaborated on the three-day admission test schedule.
Prof Mayeen Uddin announced that the ‘C’ unit intake test is scheduled for Friday, followed by the ‘A’ unit on Saturday, which will be conducted in two shifts from 11am to 12 noon, and from 3pm to 4pm. The ‘B’ unit test is set for January 24 from 11am to 12 noon. For the convenience of students and guardians, the test will also be held in other locations including Dhaka, Chattogram, Khulna, Rangpur, and Barishal, in addition to Rajshahi University.
He further mentioned that the test will be conducted in a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) format, with candidates required to enter their respective examination rooms 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the test.
