Campaign to Raise Awareness on Upcoming Referendum Held in Chitalmari

Chitalmari: A voter awareness campaign titled “The keys to the country are in your hands” was conducted in Chitalmari Upazila to inform the public about the referendum scheduled for February 12. The campaign featured the distribution of election leaflets at the Upazila Social Service Office.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Upazila Executive Officer Md. Sajjad Hossain emphasized the crucial role of public participation in the upcoming referendum. He encouraged voters to make informed decisions and highlighted that the power to bring change resides with the electorate. He provided detailed explanations about the referendum’s significance and its potential implications to those present at the event.

The campaign saw the presence of several key officials, including Acting Upazila Election Officer Md. Ruman Hussain, Upazila Women Affairs Officer Md. Hafizur Rahman, and Acting Upazila Social Service Officer Ranjan Halder, along with officials from various government departments.

Earlier in the day, the Women’s Affairs Department organized a training session on mother and child nutrition and child development at Haider Fakir’s residence, situated behind the Shibpur Union Parishad. During this session, election leaflets were distributed among the women participants, and discussions were held to enhance awareness about the referendum. The session was attended by Upazila Women Affairs Officer Md. Hafizur Rahman.
