Rabiul Awal scored a brace as Siddiquebazar Dhaka Junior SC blanked East End Club by 2-0 goals in a match of the Senior Division Football League held at Birshreshtha Shaheed Sepoy Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Stadium in the city’s Kamalapur today (Thursday).
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rabiul Awal was the star of the match, netting both goals for Siddiquebazar in quick succession during the 25th and 27th minutes, ensuring a decisive victory for his team.
Earlier, in another match of the day, Dhaka United Sports Club and Somaj Kollayan O Krira Parisad Mugda shared points when their match ended in a 1-1 draw at the same venue. Abu Bakkar Siddik put Somaj Kollayan ahead early in the 9th minute, but Rahim Hasan scored the equalizer for Dhaka United in the 90+3rd minute.
In the day’s other match, Bangladesh Boys Club and Arambagh Football Academy ended in a goalless draw, with both teams splitting the points, also held at the
same venue.
