Chapainawabganj: A doa mahfil was held here on Wednesday afternoon seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The event took place at the Old Stadium of the town and saw attendance from various political and religious figures.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the mahfil was attended by BNP nominated candidate for Chapainawabganj-3 Harunur Rashid, Abdul Wahed, president of Chapainawabganj Chamber and senior BNP leader, and Dr. Moha Emran Hossain, Principal of Chapainawabganj Kamil Madrasa. Prominent religious scholars present included Maulana Khairul Islam, Maulana Shafiqul Islam, Maulana Abdul Aziz, Maulana Abdul Basir, Maulana Zahid Khan, Maulana Amanullah, and Maulana Abdul Hamid.
The gathering was characterized by prayers and reflections, highlighting the significant impact of Begum Khaleda Zia's contributions during her tenure as Prime Minister.
