Testimony Concludes in RAJUK Plot Allocation Scam Case Involving Sheikh Hasina and Others

Dhaka: The testimony phase in the high-profile case involving 18 individuals, including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her nieces, Tulip Siddiq and Azmina Siddiq, has concluded in the Dhaka Special Judge Court-4. The case revolves around alleged irregularities in the allocation of plots within the RAJUK New Town Project.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the final testimony was provided by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Assistant Director Afnan Jannat Keya, who was subsequently cross-examined by the defense. Following the completion of her cross-examination, Judge Robiul Alam officially closed the testimony phase and scheduled January 8 for the defense to present their statement.



Throughout the proceedings, a total of 31 witnesses testified in the case, shedding light on various aspects of the allegations. The ACC initially filed the case against 16 individuals on January 13, 2025, and subsequently submitted a charge sheet on March 10, extending the accusations to 18 people.



The conclusion of the testimony phase marks a significant development in the case, as both the prosecution and the defense prepare for the next stages of the legal proceedings.
