Dhaka: The Dhaka University (DU) authorities have opened a condolence book today in memory of former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. The initiative allows individuals to express their respects and reflections on the late leader’s contributions.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the condolence book was signed by prominent figures including University Grants Commission (UGC) Chairman Prof Dr. S M A Faiez, DU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Admin) Prof Dr. Saima Haque Bidisha, Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed, Treasurer Prof Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, along with former vice-chancellors, former pro-vice chancellors, members of the Senate and Syndicate, and eminent educationists.
The condolence book will remain open until January 6, inviting teachers, students, officers, and employees of the university to participate. It has been placed at the Professor Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom in the administrative building for signing.
