19 Alleged Criminals Apprehended in Uttara

Uttara: Uttara West Thana Police today arrested 19 people in a day-long special drive conducted in different areas for their alleged involvement in various crimes.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Uttara West Thana carried out special operations in different parts of the area and arrested the accused, as stated in a press release signed by Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

The individuals taken into custody include Md Aminul Islam Raju, 38; Md Saddam Hossain, 24; Tutul Ahmed, 26; Md Roman Kawsar, 23; Md Sajib, 22; Md Dulal, 45; Mohammad Shahid Ullah, 48; Haridas, 38; Md Naim, 19; Waliul Islam Arif, 19; Md Sifat, 25; Morshed, 25; Md Sajjad Bhuiyan, 19; Md Faruk Mia, 28; Md Selim Mia, 55; Md Suman, 29; Md Kalu Mia alias Momin, 28; Md Milon, 50; and Md Mosharaf, 28.

Sources at Uttara West Thana revealed that the arrestees include individuals involved in regular cases, warrant-listed offenders, and suspects involved in narcotics-related cases. All of the suspects were produced before the court following their arrest.

Police have stated that such operations will continue in order to maintain law and order in the area.
