BPSC Postpones 46th BCS Viva Voce Due to Khaleda Zia’s Passing

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) today announced the postponement of the viva voce for the 46th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) exams that were scheduled for December 31 and January 1. This decision follows the passing of former Prime Minister and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BPSC released a notification stating that the revised schedule for the viva voce would be announced at a later date. Begum Khaleda Zia passed away at 6 am today while receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka.



In response to her death, the interim government has declared a three-day state mourning period from Wednesday to Friday. Additionally, December 31 will be observed as a public holiday nationwide.
