114 Fresh Dengue Cases Detected Overnight in Bangladesh

Dhaka: Health officials today announced the detection of 114 new dengue cases in the last 24 hours.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) reported these cases with a breakdown of hospitalizations across various divisions. The DGHS spokesman highlighted that out of the 114 new cases, 10 were admitted in Barishal division, 40 in Chattogram division, four in the Dhaka division excluding the capital, 16 in Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), 25 in Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), 14 in Khulna division, three in Mymensingh division, and two in Sylhet division.

The dengue outbreak has been severe this year, with Bangladesh witnessing 412 deaths and 102,562 reported cases of the disease so far. In comparison, the previous year saw 575 deaths and 101,214 infections across the country.
