Dhaka: Three people, including a woman, were killed and four others injured in a head-on collision between a CNG-run auto rickshaw and a truck in Borhanuddin upazila of the district today. The deceased were identified as Md. Mizan, 34, son of Abu Taher of Bhedunia village in Lalmohan upazila, Ajmeri Armin, 22, of Lalmohan upazila and Riaz Uddin, 37.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred around 2:00 pm on the Bhola-Charfashan road near Manikarhat Bazar when the two vehicles collided head-on, leaving two CNG passengers dead on the spot and five others injured. Locals immediately rescued the injured and admitted them to Bhola Sadar and Borhanuddin Upazila Health Complexes. Later, Ajmeri Armin succumbed to her injuries at Bhola General Hospital.
Borhanuddin Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Moniruzzaman confirmed the matter.
