Dhaka: The admission test for first-year undergraduate programmes under the Science Unit of Dhaka University (DU) for the 2025-2026 academic session is set to take place tomorrow from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. A total of 114,114 candidates will be vying for 1,891 available seats in this competitive examination.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the test will be conducted at Dhaka University and at selected public universities across seven divisional cities outside the capital. These outside-Dhaka centres include Rajshahi University, Chittagong University, Barishal University, Khulna University, Shahjalal University of Science and Technology in Sylhet, Bangladesh Agricultural University in Mymensingh, and Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur.

Special provisions have been arranged for candidates who are also scheduled to appear for the Military Institute of Science and Technology (MIST) admission test on the same day. For these candidates, who have opted to shift their DU Science Unit examination centres to Dhaka, three additional examination centres have been established in the Mirpur and Farmgate areas to accommodate them.

To facilitate safe and efficient travel for the candidates, metro rail services will operate with increased frequency, providing additional trains on the day of the exam. Additionally, in response to a request from Dhaka University authorities, MIST has rescheduled the second-phase admission test of its Architecture Department. Originally set for December 27 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm, it will now take place on December 28 at the same time.
