Dhaka: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman announced that the party would prioritize employment generation for young people instead of providing unemployment allowances. He emphasized that youths should become active builders of the nation rather than recipients of stipends. This statement was made at the central members’ conference of Islami Chhatrashibir held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr Shafiqur stressed the importance of unity with people of all classes to build a humane and discrimination-free Bangladesh. He articulated a vision where work is placed in every hand and strength in every heart, with youths leading revolutions in various sectors of the country. He encouraged young people to prepare for success, assuring them of the party’s support.

The Jamaat Ameer detailed the party’s educational vision, aiming to establish a system that nurtures well-rounded individuals with strong moral character and technical skills, ensuring no young person remains unemployed. He cited Chhatrashibir’s recent victories in student unions as evidence of their growing responsibility and symbol of justice in educational institutions.

Dr Shafiqur also highlighted Jamaat-e-Islami’s commitment to establishing justice, which he noted is currently lacking in Bangladesh. He asserted that true justice is rooted in the Quran and the Sunnah, and the party aims to restore peace and discipline in line with divine guidance, moving towards a corruption-free and just society.

The conference, attended by members nationwide, began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and included inaugural declarations and speeches by invited guests. The first session concluded by midday, with the closing session resuming in the afternoon.
