Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 11.6 percent, reaching US$2,425 million in the twenty-two days of December, according to the latest data issued by Bangladesh Bank (BB) today. This marks a significant increase from the $2,173 million recorded during the same period last year.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period from July to December 22, 2025, expatriates sent remittances totaling $15,464 million. This is a notable increase compared to the $13,311 million sent during the same period of the previous fiscal year. The data reflects the consistent upward trend in remittance inflows, highlighting the significant role played by expatriates in bolstering the country’s economy.
