Dhaka: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has deployed an adequate number of police personnel, including 1,000 body-worn cameras, on the occasion of the Namaz-e-Janaza of Shaheed Sharif Osman Hadi, spokesperson of Inqilab Mancha. DMP Deputy Commissioner of the Media and Public Relations Division Muhammad Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the deployment is part of a comprehensive security strategy to ensure the safety and order during the event. The inclusion of body-worn cameras aims to enhance transparency and accountability among the officers during their duties.
Authorities have taken these measures to manage the expected large crowd and potential security challenges. The coordination between different units of the police is intended to maintain peace and prevent any untoward incidents during the ceremony.
