Dhaka: Inflow of remittances witnessed a year-on-year growth of 14 percent, reaching US$2007 million in the first seven days of December, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB) issued today. Last year, during the same period, the country's remittance inflow was $1,760 million.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the period from July to December 17, 2025, of the current fiscal year, expatriates sent remittances amounting to $15,045 million. This marks an increase compared to $12,898 million sent during the same period of the previous fiscal year.
