Savar: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Prof Asif Nazrul today emphasized the significance of December 16, marking it as Bangladesh’s Victory Day and the greatest day for the nation.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof Nazrul highlighted the day’s importance while speaking to journalists after paying homage at the National Memorial premises in Savar. He noted that on this day, the public reflects on the Liberation War’s glorious history, the brave contributions of freedom fighters, and the pledge to continue building the nation.
Prof Nazrul also attributed the spirit of December 16 to the pivotal role it played in paving the way for Bangladesh’s reconstruction following the historic July mass uprising. He expressed profound gratitude and respect for the martyred and wounded freedom fighters, whose sacrifices were instrumental in achieving the country’s independence.
