BGB Honors Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad on Victory Day

Jashore: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) today paid tribute to martyred Bir Shreshtha Lance Naik Noor Mohammad Sheikh at his tomb on Victory Day. On behalf of the BGB Director General, a guard of honor was presented at the tomb of Noor Mohammad Sheikh by Jashore BGB-49 Battalion at Kashipur in Sharsha upazila.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the ceremony, wreaths were placed at the tomb, prayers were offered, and Tabarak was distributed among the local community. Jashore BGB Deputy Commander Major Noor Uddin Ahmad, family members of Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad, local public representatives, and dignitaries attended the ceremony to honor the heroic sacrifice.



Speaking at the event, BGB Commander Lt. Col. Saifullah Siddiqui emphasized the importance of remembering the contributions of Bir Shreshtha Noor Mohammad Sheikh, who laid down his life during the Great Liberation War. He stated that the tradition of offering a guard of honor, paying tributes, and reciting Fateha for the forgiveness of his soul will continue.
