Dhaka: The results of the admission test for public and private medical and dental colleges for the 2025-26 academic year were published today. This year's pass rate is 66.57 percent.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Director General of the Directorate General of Medical Education, Professor Dr. Nazmul Hossain, stated that students can check the results of the exam from the Directorate of Medical Education website and the Directorate General of Health Services website and .
A press release sent by the Directorate General of Medical Education noted that 5,645 candidates have been initially selected based on merit and preference. This selection was determined by adding the marks from the admission test and the GPA obtained in the SSC/equivalent and HSC/equivalent examinations.
The results further revealed that 120,440 candidates registered to take part in the exam, representing 98.21 percent of the total number of candidates. A total of 2,192 candidates were absent from the examination, and two candidates were expelled due to irregularities at the exam center.
A total of 81,642 candidates have passed the admission test this year. Among those who passed, 31,128 are male candidates, accounting for 38.13 percent of the total number of passed candidates. Meanwhile, 50,514 female candidates passed, making up 61.87 percent.
