Nilphamari: A rickshaw puller was killed in a road accident at Khetur Bazar of Putimari union in Kishoreganj upazila of the district this morning. The deceased was Morsalin Hossain, 45, son of Tanna Mamud of Madhyakalikapur Balapara village of the upazila. The accident occurred around 11.30 am when a speeding motorcycle hit a rickshaw from opposite direction, leaving rickshaw puller Morsalin dead on the spot. Kishoreganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Lutfar Rahman confirmed the matter.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the incident has raised concerns over road safety in the area. The local authorities are expected to conduct further investigations to determine the exact circumstances leading to the accident. Community members have expressed their condolences to the family of Morsalin Hossain and are urging for measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
