Rajshahi: Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET) has decided to collect students' fees online aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability in the collection process.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the RUET made this decision during its 83rd Finance Committee meeting, which was held in the conference room under the chairmanship of Vice-Chancellor Prof SM Abdur Razzaque. The meeting focused on implementing various policies to enhance the efficiency of academic and administrative operations.
Among the key policies discussed were the allocation of funds for final-year thesis and projects of undergraduate students, the management and utilization of dormitory facilities, and the introduction of online fees collection. These initiatives are intended to streamline processes and improve the overall management at the university.
The meeting was attended by several notable members, including Finance Committee Member-Secretary Nazim Uddin, Registrar Arif Ahmed Chowdhury, Prof Rafiqul Islam from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Prof Abu Sufian from the Department of Civil Engineering, Chairman of Rajshahi Education Board Prof Mofakkharul Islam, and Deputy Secretary AZ Morshed Ali from the Ministry of Education.
