Dhaka: Three sixth round matches of the Bangladesh Football League are set to take place tomorrow at different venues across the country, promising an exciting day for football fans.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society will compete against Fortis Football Club Limited at the Birshrestha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj. Concurrently, Arambagh Krira Sangha is set to face Brothers Union Club at the Shaheed Miraj-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj. Both matches are scheduled to kick-off at 2.30 pm.
In the day’s third match, Bashundhara Kings will confront the reigning champions Mohammedan Sports Club at the Bashundhara Kings arena in the capital at 5.30 pm. The outcomes of these matches are expected to significantly impact the league standings.
After the completion of the fifth round, Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society has accumulated ten points from five matches, while Fortis Football Club has secured eight points from an equal number of games. Meanwhile, Brothers Union Club, wearing their iconic orange kits, have collected seven points, whereas Arambagh Krira Sangha languishes at the bottom with just one point.
At the top of the table, Bashundhara Kings lead with 13 points from five matches. Mohammedan Sports Club, the traditional black and white team from Motijheel, holds the fourth position with seven points from their outings.
The excitement continues with further sixth round matches scheduled for the following day. Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club will play against Abahani Limited Dhaka at Shaheed Miraj-Tapan Stadium in Manikganj, while PWD Sports Club will face Bangladesh Police Football Club at Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur.
