Lalmonirhat: BNP Organizing Secretary Asadul Habib Dulu today asserted that no fair elections have been conducted in any constituency or polling center in Bangladesh over the past 17 years. He made these remarks while serving as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of a temporary bridge built at Jharirjhar Number - 2 Ghat in Ward 6 of Bhelabari Union, hosted by the Lalmonirhat district unit of Jubo Dal.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dulu emphasized that the BNP has been actively engaged in continuous movements to restore the people's voting rights. He highlighted that during these efforts, numerous leaders and activists have suffered injuries, disabilities, disappearances, and a significant number have been imprisoned.
Dulu further stated that the BNP has played a crucial role in advocating for the establishment of the people's right to vote. He expressed hope that the public will spontaneously support BNP candidates in upcoming elections. In his appeal for votes, he promised the local populace that electing BNP candidates would lead to the transformation of Lalmonirhat into a new and improved region.
The event was chaired by District Jubo Dal convener Anisur Rahman and attended by several prominent figures, including District Jubo Dal member-secretary Hasan Ali, Kaliganj Upazila BNP convener Jahangir Alam, and district BNP vice-president Rokon Uddin Babul.
