Tangail: A teenage boy was killed and two others were injured in a road accident in the Pakutia Bridge area of Nagbari union under Kalihati upazila of the district on Sunday morning. The deceased was identified as Towhid, 15, the son of Harun Mia, an expatriate from Rampur Dargabari village in Balla union of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the accident occurred when a motorcycle collided with an iron railing on the bridge as its rider, Towhid, lost control of the bike. Towhid died on the spot, and the two other passengers on the motorcycle were seriously injured.
The injured, identified as Jihad and Hasan from the same village, were taken to Tangail General Hospital for treatment. Kalihati Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the incident.
