Dhaka: BNP Chairperson's Adviser Enamul Haque Chowdhury announced today that an air ambulance will be dispatched to Dhaka only after receiving approval from the medical board overseeing the health of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. "Qatar's Royal Ambulance will come to Bangladesh following the decision of Madam's medical board. They are now prepared in that manner," he told the media.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Enamul Haque has been in constant communication with Qatari authorities regarding this matter on behalf of the BNP. The BNP leader stated that once the medical board issues its decision, the air ambulance will arrive in Dhaka to transport Begum Khaleda Zia to London for advanced medical treatment. He emphasized that all arrangements have been made by Qatari authorities.
Addressing queries about the involvement of a German air ambulance, Enamul Haque clarified that it is the Qatari authorities who are organizing a state-of-the-art air ambulance from Germany, not the BNP. This clarification came amid speculation about the source of the air ambulance.
Khaleda Zia was hospitalized on November 23 after experiencing breathing difficulties due to a lung infection, which subsequently led to pneumonia. She also suffers from chronic conditions such as kidney, liver, arthritis, and diabetes issues, complicating her treatment as addressing one ailment often adversely affects another.
