Netrakona: A pedestrian was killed and another injured when a motorcycle collided with them at Sajiura village of Madanpur union in Sadar upazila last night. The deceased was identified as Jewel Mia, 40, son of Santu Mia of Sajiura village.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the incident occurred when a motorcycle struck the pedestrians from behind as they were walking along the road. Both individuals were quickly taken to Sadar Hospital, where Jewel Mia succumbed to his injuries, confirmed Netrokona Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Champak Dam.
Following the completion of legal procedures, the body was handed over to the family members this morning.
