Gabtoli: BNP's acting chairman Tarique Rahman has provided financial assistance for the wedding of Afifa Arbi, daughter of Maryam Begum, a member of Pourasava Mahila Dal of Gabtoli Upazila here.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the financial assistance was provided yesterday following the instruction of Tarique Rahman, the main patron of Amra BNP Paribar. BNP Media Cell Rajshahi-Rangpur Coordinator Kalam Azad stated this.
Convenor of Amra BNP Paribar, Atiqur Rahman Rumon, joined the wedding ceremony and handed over the financial assistance to Maryam Begum.
Azad highlighted that Maryam Begum worked tirelessly in all the movements and participated in all movements against the oppressive government.
Maryam Begum expressed gratitude to BNP and Tarique Rahman for the support and sympathy shown to her. She also prayed for Tarique Rahman, Begum Khaleda Zia, and the Zia family, Azad mentioned.
