Petrobangla and BUET Collaborate to Boost Research and Training

Dhaka: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation, known as Petrobangla, and Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) to jointly enhance education, research, and training activities. This collaboration aims to foster a closer relationship between the energy sector and academic research.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the MoU was signed at Petrobangla's boardroom with the presence of BUET's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abu Borhan Mohammad Badruzzaman, and Petrobangla's Chairman, Md Rezanur Rahman. The agreement was formalized by Petrobangla's Secretary, Md Amzad Hossain, and BUET's Director of the Research and Innovation Centre for Science and Engineering (RISE), Professor Dr Mohammad Shariful Islam, representing their respective organizations.

The initiative is poised to accelerate research activities through enhanced information exchange between Petrobangla and BUET's faculty and students. This partnership will also contribute significantly to meeting future industry needs by facilitating a mutual exchange of knowledge, technology, and experience.
