TSS and EDOTCO Bangladesh Sign MoU to Enhance Telecom Infrastructure

Dhaka: Telephone Shilpa Sangstha (TSS) Limited and EDOTCO Bangladesh Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish a repair and refurbishment center for critical network power components. The MoU signing ceremony was held at the meeting room of the Posts and Telecommunications Division.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the agreement was signed by Dr. Manwar Hossein Malla, Managing Director of TSS, and Sunil Issac, Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh. The event was attended by Senior officials of the Posts and Telecommunications Division, along with representatives from TSS and EDOTCO.

Chief Adviser's Special Assistant Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, speaking as the chief guest, highlighted that the MoU represents a significant step toward strengthening the country's telecom infrastructure. He noted that the new center will improve network reliability, reduce import dependency, and help develop skilled manpower. He also mentioned that this initiative could eventually lead to local battery cell manufacturing, saving foreign currency and opening new technological opportunities.

The event was chaired by Posts and Telecommunications Division Secretary Abdun Naser Khan, who emphasized that the partnership reflects the government's commitment to modernizing the telecom support ecosystem. He stated that combining TSS's industrial capacity with EDOTCO's global expertise will create a strong, mutually beneficial collaboration that supports not only the telecom sector but also other technology-driven industries.
