Dhaka: BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's personal physician and BNP Standing Committee Member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain announced that Khaleda Zia is responding to the treatment being provided by her medical team at Evercare Hospital's CCU since November 27.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dr. Zahid mentioned during a press briefing that they are consulting with the medical board to determine if Khaleda Zia's condition allows for travel abroad. A specialist medical team from the UK is set to arrive, and any decision regarding her travel to London will be based on their coordinated opinion.
Dr. Zahid expressed gratitude to international leaders and diplomats who have shown concern for Khaleda Zia's health. He urged the public to rely on official statements from himself and Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi to avoid misinformation regarding her treatment.
He highlighted the government's continuous support for Khaleda Zia's treatment and requested public prayers during this critical period.
