Dhaka: BNP today requested the media not to use any source other than the statement from her personal physician and party Standing Committee Member Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain for any information regarding the health condition of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia. BNP media cell member Shayrul Kabir Khan made the appeal this afternoon.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Shayrul Kabir Khan stated, "We request the media not to use any other source or statement from anyone other than the official statement from Begum Khaleda Zia's personal physician and BNP Standing Committee Member Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, regarding any information about her health condition." He emphasized that any situation or decision regarding the BNP Chairperson's health would be immediately announced by the Medical Board.

Earlier, BNP Vice Chairman Ahmed Azam Khan revealed that Khaleda Zia's condition had become "very critical," noting that the escalation began on Sunday night. Azam made this statement while briefing the media on Khaleda Zia's physical condition in front of Evercare Hospital in the capital.

Following these developments, various confusing and misleading information about Begum Khaleda Zia's health situation began to spread in the media. In response, the BNP Media Cell clarified that the Medical Board or her personal physician Dr AZM Zahid Hossain would provide accurate information regarding the BNP Chairperson's health.
