Dhaka: 'Exhibitor Night 2025' was held at a hotel in the capital as part of the ongoing four-day Ceramic Expo Bangladesh 2025 at the International Convention Center Bashundhara. Bangladesh Ceramic Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BCMEA) organized the event on Saturday night, said a press release.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, speaking at the event as the chief guest, Foreign Adviser Towhid Hossain highlighted the evolution of the ceramic industry in Bangladesh. He noted that what was once an industry fully reliant on imports has now carved a niche in the global market by fulfilling domestic demand. He further emphasized the positive impact of foreign investment in this sector.
During the event, awards were presented to various recipients by the foreign minister, marking a significant occasion for the industry. BCMEA President Moynul Islam, who was present at the event, outlined the potential of the ceramic industry, stating that with certain facilities, ceramics could become the second-largest export sector of the country.
The expo, in its fourth iteration, features participation from 300 brands, including 135 companies from 25 countries, highlighting innovations in raw materials, machinery, and technology of ceramic products. The event also includes seminars, job fairs, B2B and B2C meetings, and new product launches, offering a comprehensive platform for industry stakeholders.
